Oscar Sangria 2014 (Cava Sangria)
We made this recipe for our Oscar party and it was very good.
1/2 cup Spanish brandy (I had some brandy left from Christmas)
3/4 cup orange liqueur or melon liqueur (I had melon liqueur leftover from the Grey Cup)
4 cups white cranberry juice
4 cups tangerine juice (or other pale fruit juice)
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries (I didn't get these)
2 oranges, thinly sliced
6 cups cava or other sparkling white wine (2 bottles)
1. Combine brandy and liqueur in a large pitcher or punch bowl.
2. Add cranberry juice, tangerine juice (I used that Sunrype tangerine mango), cranberries (if using) and orange slices. Refrigerate.
3. Add sparkling wine just before serving (we used Yellowtail Bubbles)
Makes about 12 servings.
