Easy Chocolate Sauce

Renee Kohlman, the author of the award-winning cookbook All the Sweet Things, posted this recipe to Instagram.
This is great for ice cream, or whatever you want! It is particularly great if you can't get to DQ for a hot fudge sundae. After it's refrigerated, it doesn't pour very well, so I've been putting a small amount in a measuring cup to warm slightly in the microwave before putting it on the ice cream.
This is also good as a base for hot chocolate. Warm the milk and add a couple of tablespoons of the sauce — or more :)
Also can be used to make a mocha.
1 cup cocoa powder
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup just-boiled water
1 tsp vanilla
Combine 1 cup cocoa powder, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 tsp salt in a medium saucepan. Pour in 1 cup just-boiled water and whisk over med-high heat. Bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer for 3 min, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in 1 tsp vanilla. Keeps in an airtight container in fridge for up to 1 month.
