Life is too short for health muffins.

Chatelaine told me that there is no reason that chocolate and fibre can't exist in one tasty muffin and I'm here to tell you that that ain't true. All the classic muffin ingredients are present - wheat bran, whole wheat flour - there are also chocolate pieces and coca powder. I can tell you that there must be some kind of mathematical equation for this kind of disappointment. They're not bad muffins - the texture is nice and all that. But somehow the addition of fun ingredients like cocoa, combined with the whole wheat and bran make them taste *more* healthy than they should. Without the cocoa they would taste like banana bran muffins, but with the cocoa they taste like a skinny person's idea of a treat. This is the taste of compromise - with every bite you martyr yourself. I do not recommend.
