Brussels sprouts and Salami Pizza

You'll need: Brussels sprouts, salami, shallots, lemon, mozzarella cheese, garlic cloves, olive oil and pizza dough from the grocery store. Pizza dough from the grocery store is cold and needs to sit at room temperature one to two hours before you stretch it out on the pan.

Follow the videos - I've added any notes if it's unclear! The recipe comes from a Bon Appetit video.

Cut half of your brussels sprouts in half to roast along with the cloves of garlic. You can leave the garlic cloves whole on the pan. The rest of the brussels sprouts will be used later in the recipe. Roast them with oil and salt (video shows time and temperature).

At the end of the video, you'll see the garlic that was roasted with the brussels sprouts mashed with olive oil. You'd spread this on the pizza dough. They cover the dough so that it has a chance to rest for maybe 10 minutes before you put the toppings on. Then the video continues - after the garlic olive oil is spread loosely across the dough, lay the slices of mozzarella over, etc etc.

At the end they show the shallots that have been marinating in lemon juice scattered across the pizza. I gave the whole pizza a little squeeze of lemon after as well.

I used some hot salami mixed with a regular type salami, both from the Sobeys deli. I liked the mix. See what you like! I thought it was great leftover too (I brought mine for lunch on Friday and ended up eating it at about 9:00am because I was hungry, so...it makes good breakfast too haha).
