Heligoland Grog
Had a bad day at work? Husband works outside all day in the sopping snow? Come home to this warm drink! Warning, at first they are magic - but, a bit like listening to a song you love two times in a row, the second time will never be as good as the first. Also, stick to the proportions! Otherwise they just won't be as good. But made like this - ooh, they are delisshhhious.2 ounces red wine
1.5 ounces dark rum
1.5 ounces water
brown sugar, to taste
1 slice of lemon
Heat the red wine, rum, and water together, but do not let boil. Put some sugar in the glass, add the grog, and perch the slice of lemon on the rim of the glass.
Voila!
